My Story
I wanted more control of my time and money.
A few years back I felt stuck, stagnant, and wasn't living the way I wanted to. I was going to work for my family but I barely had time to spend with my family. I wanted more control of my time and money. There has to be a way out of this cycle.
I was tired of working for someone else's dream. Running and owning my own business was something that I've always wanted to do. I've run into so many scams and get rich schemes along the way. If it's too good to be true it probably is.
Selling real estate has always been a consideration. It's common knowledge how much money one can make in the field, but it was too big of a choice and investment.
I didn't need super fancy cars and yachts, I needed my life more simplified! What I did need is to spend my valuable time more meaningfully, and for me that's with my family.
Making the Choice
One morning while driving to work I had to stop and take a minute. The thought of continuing what I was doing for another day outweighed the fear of failing.
For years there was doubt, reasons or excuses, and other challenges. If things were going to happen I would have to make it happen! I needed to make a change.
Making the choice to start now and set in motion a new future was empowering. It's a constant learning process along the way, but you'll sure be glad you got on the ride.
Finally sitting down to meet with Debbie and her brokerage changed my perspectives. I've met with other brokerages before and they just didn't offer the same flexibility and business structure.
The others charged desk fees, marketing fees, along with many other fees. They also offered very low splits to start. Some even offered as low as 45% commission to the agent. Then the aggressive sales goals just to bump your percentage up. No, thanks.
All these things were very inconvenient. Luckily, I connected with Debbie and the company she worked with. They offered top starting commission. You can even earn up to 90% split the first year. Some of the brokerages required you to put in time before coming close to that.
The pros were already stacking up but the best part is that they offer a third source of income. Ok, you're probably saying oh great another scam and here it comes. It's not! You can earn residuals from referrals, retirement benefits, and even beneficiary benefits. Not only does the company care about your success they also care about your family's future which was most important to me.
It was becoming clear that the system works
The fee to franchise your very own business was less than a bad bar tab. The company even donates a percentage of their commission to Habitat for Humanity as a way to give back to the community. It was becoming clear that the system works. Yes, please!
Since making the choice I now have the flexibility that I've always wanted, a sense of belonging, and continue to meet new people that enrich my daily life. I also work with a team or I should say family of professionals that I never thought I would have the privilege to. We help those looking to get into the industry and agents looking to make changes nationwide even in Canada!
Today, I can tell you that I'm a real person and that I exist and this is not a scam to get rich quick. Getting the tools that finally worked made the world of a difference for me.
